Reno, Nevada, July 27, 2021 — Dr. Edward Perry is the first surgeon in Nevada to use Nuvasive’s Modulus ALIF, a 3D-printed porous titanium implant for anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF). Benefits of the Modulus ALIF include: Proprietary Modulus titanium design: The porous surface architecture is engineered to participate in fusion and promote new bone on-growth and in-growth.1 The proprietary design also allows for enhanced visualization compared to solid titanium implants. Zero-step locking mechanism: This feature provides definitive tactile and visual confirmation, enabling confidence in a surgeon’s screw placement in the implant. Low-profile, versatile instrumentation: The device’s instrumentation can be utilized in both supine ALIF...

Dr. James Lynch became the first surgeon in Nevada to use Titan Spine’s nano surface technology for ALIF and XLIF procedures. The Titan Spine surface promotes differentiation into bone-forming cells. This increases bone production around the implant site and increases the potential for a faster and more robust fusion. In addition, the cellular process set in motion by the Titan Spine nano surface technology compels the body to produce and regulate its own BMP at the key stages of the fusion process. This supports new bone growth without requiring the use of external BMP. Dr. Lynch performs a large volume of...
