Swift Institute Grows, Adds Neurology Specialty in Reno and Sparks
Reno, NV, June 19, 2023 — Swift Institute recently welcomed Dr. Timothy Louie, a board-certified neurologist, Kimberly Pope, APRN-BC, and Lisa Hammargren-Kuykendall, APRN-BC, to the team. Dr. Louie, Kim, and Lisa will provide neurology care at the Swift Institute’s convenient locations in South Reno and Sparks. Dr. Louie received his medical degree at Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, IL, and residency training at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, CA. In addition, he completed fellowship training in neuromuscular diseases and EMGs at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT.
Kim has been specializing in neurology for 18 years. She earned her master’s degree in nursing at York College of Pennsylvania in York, PA. Kimberly next completed a certified nurse practitioner degree at Widener University in Philadelphia, PA. She specializes in general neurology, cerebrovascular diseases, stroke, and transient ischemic attack (TIA).
Lisa earned her master’s degree in nursing at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has focused her practice on neurology since 2012. Lisa cares for patients with vast neurological needs, primarily focusing on headache medicine.
The Swift Institute Neurology team understands that no two patients are alike and thus develops individual treatment plans for each patient. Dr. Louie, Kimberly, and Lisa can see patients with neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s/Movement disorders, Myasthenia Gravis, Epilepsy, ALS, Neuropathy, Migraines, Stroke / TIA, Cerebrovascular Disease (Moya Moya; CADASIL), Dementia/memory loss, Concussion/Traumatic Brain Injury, Autoimmune Disorders, Neuromuscular Diseases, and Huntington’s Disease.
