Jake’s journey began at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Ecology and later a Master of Public Health in Public Health Practice. Initially interested in sports medicine and physical therapy, a pivotal healthcare policy course expanded his vision toward healthcare administration and population health. His early hands-on research experiences and a passion for data-driven outcomes shaped his holistic approach to healthcare management.

Since joining Swift Institute in 2017, after serving in key operational and management roles at Spine Nevada and other specialty practices, Jake has been instrumental in advancing strategic growth and operational excellence. His leadership emphasizes value-based care focused on enhancing access, reducing costs, and achieving better patient outcomes. Notably, he championed innovative programs such as Swift’s orthopedic urgent care model and conservative treatment approaches that prioritize rehabilitation and physical therapy.

Jake’s public health lens drives workforce development initiatives vital to Northern Nevada’s healthcare landscape. He advocates for local training programs like the University of Nevada’s Doctor of Physical Therapy to address critical needs in the community. Under his direction, Swift Institute not only delivers cutting-edge medical services in spine orthopedics, neurosurgery, neurology, interventional pain management, and more but also remains deeply connected to the region through charitable support and community partnerships.
