A long-time baseball player, Brandon started experiencing numbness and pain in his right shoulder near the end of his baseball years. His career as a landscaper was also impacted by shoulder pain. Brandon had shoulder surgery to help relieve his symptoms in 2008; the surgery offered about ten years of pain relief. Unfortunately in 2018, he started having right shoulder pain again. Brandon tried several non-surgical treatments to help find some relief. His surgeon in Chico told him he would likely need a total shoulder replacement, but he wanted to put it off as long as possible. Brandon was referred to Dr. Michael Lilyquist because of the significant bone loss in his right shoulder that would require a bone graft.
Dr. Lilyquist performed the right total shoulder replacement. Brandon is now back to swinging a golf club, playing with his kids, and even helping a friend pour concrete – none of this was possible before his surgery.Â
