Physician Assistant
Carla Chong, PA-C, has been caring for patients throughout the Reno, Sparks, and Carson City communities since 2010. A Reno-Tahoe native, she graduated from Robert McQueen High School before attending the University of Nevada, Reno and Truckee Meadows Community College. Her passion for medicine led her to Washington, where she earned a Bachelor of Clinical Health Studies from the University of Washington.
Carla continued her education at the prestigious MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program through the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she served as class vice president. Following graduation, her love for Northern Nevada inspired her to return home to serve the community that helped shape her, completing her first clinical rotation at Nevada HOPES. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Carla is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care with an emphasis on conservative, non-surgical treatment options. She believes in treating the whole person and working closely with each patient to develop individualized care plans that improve both health and quality of life.
Since joining Swift Institute in 2017, Carla has expanded her expertise in venous disease through specialized training under Dr. Ahmad. She is passionate about helping patients with chronic venous insufficiency and other vein conditions find relief through minimally invasive procedures and evidence-based conservative treatment options.
