Physician Assistant, Reno
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Fellowship-Trained Spine Surgeon
“As long as I can remember, I knew I would go into medicine. I was the first member of my family to go to college. My grandfather stimulated my interest in sciences – astronomy, biology, microscopes, etc. I always thought medicine was my field. I worked as an emergency medical technician after college and before going to medical school. I received student loans and worked to put myself through college and medical school.
“Orthopedics offers me an opportunity to treat acute and chronic spine disorders and fractures. I can get patients back to life and mobility. I can make a significant impact on their lives. From scoliosis in teens to herniated discs in athletes and degenerative spine disorders in older adults, I find spine surgery to be one of the most challenging, complex, and exciting fields of orthopedics. I see a wide variety of pathologies and I love the range of approaches and technological advances.”
