About Dr. Rozak

Dr. Michael Rozak is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management from Emory University. He specializes in minimally invasive interventional spine and musculoskeletal procedures, diagnostic ultrasound, radiofrequency ablations, spinal and peripheral neuromodulation, vertebral augmentation, electrodiagnostics, sports related injuries and orthobiologics – treatments that involve using a patient’s own cells and growth factors to stimulate natural healing of an injury.

Prior to his fellowship, he completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Emory University where he served as chief resident and was awarded resident of the year. Preceding residency, he fulfilled his internship in Baltimore Maryland at MedStar Harbor Hospital where he won resident teacher of the year. Dr. Rozak completed medical school at the University of Maryland where he was class vice president and founded the sports-medicine interest group. He completed his undergraduate degrees at the University of Maryland. While at Maryland, Dr. Rozak was captain of the varsity baseball team and brings a unique understanding of sports-related injuries to his patients.

He is published in multiple scientific publications, including the Journal of American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, International Orthopaedics, Rehab in Review, and others and has also won multiple national podium research awards.

Dr. Rozak is a member of the Spine Intervention Society, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Physiatrists, the American Medical Association, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the Orthobiologic Institute, and the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation.

Dr. Rozak is committed to caring for his patients and improving their quality of life. His goal is to use the most conservative treatment methods possible to help people reduce pain and achieve their highest level of function. He states, “I try to treat every patient as if they were a member of my own family.”

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Rozak enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, watching and playing sports, exploring the Reno-Tahoe area for activities, and trivia.
