Physician Assistant
Matthew Pearce, PA-C, joined the Swift Vein Institute team in 2020. Within his role as a Physician Assistant at Swift Vein Institute, Matthew performs new patient consultations, physical exams, and post-procedural follow-ups, provides education and diagnostic assessment, develops care plans, and offers patient's preventive health care advice. Matthew performs non-surgical procedures including phlebectomy and sclerotherapy. Before joining the Swift Vein Institute team, Matthew served in the Neurosurgery department at Swift Spine Institute.
He completed a Masters of Clinical Medical Sciences and the Physician Assistant program at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. Matthew earned his undergraduate education at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
During his physician assistant training, Matthew selected rotations of focus in Interventional Radiology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatric Medicine, Ob/Gyn, and Psychiatric Medicine. He has worked in the healthcare field previously as a Therapeutic Recreation Intern, Advanced Direct Care Worker, and Radiology Aide.
Matthew enjoys outdoor recreation and living in Northern Nevada. Other hobbies include hockey and football.
